What customers say?

“ This was my first time at No. 8 Ramen for lunch. At famous restaurants and chains, I always order the dandan noodles (if they're on the menu). It was packed with vegetables (cabbage) and the combination of spiciness and sweetness was just delicious. It felt like the perfect place for a long car trip. It gave me energy. ”

“ I had hot and sour noodles and half a bowl of fried rice! ”

“ I went during a quiet time so I was able to enjoy my meal at my own pace. The limited-time tomato ramen was delicious, as expected. ”

“ I got the usual B set, and it was delicious. The staff were nice too... I forgot they had champon, so I ordered salt again. It was my first champon in a year. It was delicious, but number 8 is probably better, the vegetable ramen... It was super crowded on a Sunday lunchtime, and very popular! ”

“ A comforting place for Ishikawa Prefecture residents and the Hokuriku region. What I want to say to people from other prefectures is that it's not ramen, it's food called No. 8. It's consistently delicious, so I go back regularly. I have the salt vegetable ramen. Everyone else says miso, but it's fun to try all the varieties! ”

“ I came to the Kashima branch for the first time in a while and noticed that ordering had been switched to a tablet. This was the first time I'd seen this at No. 8. For lunch, I had the seasonal vegetable and beef offal stew ramen. The special miso soup, dubbed "kokuuma," and the flavorful offal were outstanding. July 14th I had the limited-time tom yum goong ramen. It was a thin ramen, which I didn't find typical of No. 8. Perhaps because of the lime juice, I didn't really notice the spiciness. The cilantro had a bit of a strong flavor, but it was edible. August 30th I came for lunch, and the limited-time cold noodles had sold out. I had the limited-time vegetable tomato ramen. Since I had it with cheese last time, I tried it without any toppings. The sourness of the tomato and the spiciness of the chili bean paste, similar to that of dandan noodles, were distinctive. It was delicious and spicy enough to make me sweat, but next time I think I'll need the sour cream or cheese, which are on the menu. ”

“ This is the Nakanotocho branch of Hachiban Ramen, a local ramen chain centered around Ishikawa Prefecture. Since it's a chain, the flavor is consistent no matter which branch you go to. I visited on a weekend lunch, so it seemed busy, but the staff were very attentive. This time, I came for the hot and sour soup noodles, available only in the fall and winter. The sour and spicy flavors are addictive. Eating this makes me think, "Winter is coming!" My companion tried the limited-time champon ramen, and said it was delicious. ”

“ When you come to Hokuriku, you have to go to No. 8 Ramen. I ordered the miso ramen with extra vegetables and my stomach was completely full! ”
